Fine dining afloat at Loews Coronado

Looking for a beautiful setting for a wedding, private party or corporate event? Loews Coronado Bay Resort’s new fleet of luxury yachts offers the perfect venue. Through the resort’s partnership with Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters, a 35-year-old luxury yacht company headquartered in Newport Beach, three motor yachts featuring elegant interiors and beautiful settings can be ordered for group functions and depart for tours of San Diego Bay right from the resort’s marina.

The MV Ambassador (pictured above) is the mid-size of the three yachts, and accommodates up to 130 passengers. “Guests might start with rooftop cocktails to take advantage of sunset views,” suggested Brian Johnson, Loews Coronado Bay Resort’s managing director. “Then, at sunset, they can move down to the main salon for dinner and close out the evening on the first floor with dancing and dessert.”

Best of all, meals and beverages are prepared exclusively by Loews’ chefs under the direction of Executive Chef Nicolas Bour and served by Loews staff, elevating the shipboard dining experience to a blend of artful presentation and culinary excellence.

“Everybody who comes to San Diego and Coronado loves to be out on the water at some point during their stay,” said Sarah Moran, public relations director at Loews Coronado. “Now here at Loews, instead of meeting by the water, they can now meet on the water.”
