- Friday Night: Ice Skating at the Hotel Del. For a truly unique evening at the beach, whirl and twirl on the Del’s ice skating rink by the sea. - Saturday: Day at the Beach. Get the true So Cal beach experience at Coronado Surfing Association’s 31st Annual Jr. Longboard Contest starting at 7am at Shipwreck Beach (in front of the Shores). Spend the day watching the competition, lounging in the sunshine, playing in the waves, tossing the frisbee or football, then party the night away at the awards ceremony on the sand with live music by West Coast Iron Works, tasty food, no host bar, and raffle. - Sunday: Enjoy the Bay. Pile your family and friends into a Duffy Electric Boat and spend the afternoon cruising around San Diego Bay. Bring along a picnic from Park Place Liquor (they have fresh, amazing sandwiches! 1000 Park Place) and set out to see Coronado, the iconic blue bridge, downtown San Diego, and the USS Midway from a whole new perspective.
